[00:00:02] Welcome to your quiet prayer. [00:00:08] Today is a new day, a brand new day. No matter what time it is, all days belong to you. [00:00:23] And when you understand that all days are yours, no day can be lost. [00:00:34] No day is trivial, unimportant, because it's yours. [00:00:45] When you begin to realize or understand that the life you live right now, moment by moment, is more valuable than any tangible thing you can name, and also than any name you can name. [00:01:19] No other life breathes in and breathes out your breath. [00:01:33] No other time lives your hours. [00:01:42] And though you may think that your hours sometimes are unimportant, rethink that. [00:01:54] Rethink that in the eyes of truth. [00:02:00] And so I invite you to close your eyes very gently. [00:02:06] Let's have our time of complete rest, spiritual rest in Christ. [00:02:19] Now, these following 10 moments are yours and as valuable as every other moment in your life and in your day. [00:02:39] Accept these moments you have set apart and will set apart every care, every external thing that bothers you, that troubles you, that hurts you, set it all aside now. You have nowhere to go. [00:03:07] You have nothing to do in these moments. You even set aside pain. [00:03:23] And the way you do that is to think with your spiritual mind and to understand that all of the cares, worries, fears, doubts, misunderstandings, misgivings, can be sensory experiences, experiences of the senses, experiences of an external place, something outside of your inner world. Your inner world is where the Spirit of God is extolled, is always triumphant, is always happy, is never grieved. [00:04:39] You are created with an ego. [00:04:46] That's your human, natural self. [00:04:51] But there also is a place in you where the Holy Spirit lives, where you are right now. [00:04:58] Because you've chosen to be here. [00:05:02] Quiet. [00:05:07] Allow the muscles of your jaw to relax now, as well as your entire face. [00:05:17] Starting with your eyes, let them be very still. [00:05:24] Your neck very loose. [00:05:31] Allow your shoulders to rest. [00:05:35] Relax your shoulders and your hands, wherever they are right now, unclasp them. [00:05:47] Let them rest singly by themselves. [00:05:52] No tension in your hands. [00:05:59] I always suggest, if you're in a seated position, to allow your feet to rest on the floor, on the ground, seated in a nice upright position. [00:06:18] And the reason for this is to keep alert. [00:06:23] Meditation is not a time to slump down and rest is a time to rise up and rest in God. [00:06:40] For even as you will be still in these moments, God will be doing a great thing in you you know not of until later. [00:06:55] You'll know, you'll see. And especially if you practice quiet prayer regularly, I invite you to take a nice deep breath now. [00:07:10] Breathe in and breathe out. [00:07:16] Take those breaths there. [00:07:19] We're going to do now three in a row from the base of your belly. As you breathe in, your belly expands. [00:07:29] Let's try that breathing in. [00:07:35] That's right. And now as you breathe out, your belly contracts as it pushes the air very gently out. [00:07:48] Once more, breathing in and breathing out. [00:08:00] One more time. Breathing in and breathing out. [00:08:11] Your shoulders are at rest, your neck is at rest. [00:08:18] Your arms are at peace. [00:08:23] Your upper torso is at peace and erect pelvis is gently sitting. [00:08:34] If you're sitting, knee, knees, thighs, calves, ankles. Oh, how at pace your entire body is all the way to your pinky toes. [00:08:50] I give my body to you, Jesus. [00:08:56] This body and all that it holds, all that it contains, dear one. [00:09:03] Every muscle, every organ, every cell, every atom, every molecule belongs to you as a gift from God. And therefore you owning can give it to him to own and bless, watch over, protect, heal and deliver. [00:09:39] You don't do those things, dear one. [00:09:47] Even as I speak now, gently guiding in these moments alone with God. [00:09:57] Continue to take your deep breaths. Continue to breathe deeply. Continue to be aware that your shoulders are relaxed. [00:10:08] Nothing is going on in the world right now. [00:10:12] Not in your world. [00:10:16] You have absolutely nothing to be concerned about. [00:10:22] Nothing. [00:10:25] You are now alone with God. [00:10:31] I am only guiding you. [00:10:34] You are alone with Him. [00:10:38] He is in you now by a spirit. [00:10:49] The only way to know him is spiritually. [00:10:55] The Bible makes it very clear that the spirit of man is known by man. [00:11:05] How do you know a human spirit or what a human thinks in his human natural mind. [00:11:14] But you know the human natural mind and the same is true of the Spirit. [00:11:26] First Corinthians 2 is very clear about it where it says no one knows the things of of God except the Spirit of God, which you, dear one, have received in these moments. [00:11:52] You are not sitting in the spirit of the world, or in the temporary spirit of the senses, or even of all the external, external business of life. [00:12:06] You are sitting now alone with God in the freedom of Himself, his being in you, with you, surrounding you, holding you, loving you. [00:12:43] He who has eyes, says the Bible, let him her see. [00:12:50] And what are we to see but him in the world? When you look at yourself and at the value of your day, see Him. [00:13:07] He never pressures you, never. [00:13:15] He never gives you an anxious moment to achieve. [00:13:26] He is your achiever. [00:13:33] And in these moments receive that peace of knowing. [00:13:42] Breathe in the peace of the knowing who you are in Him. [00:13:55] The Bible says faith without works is dead. [00:14:02] And the greatest works are the works of love, spiritual Love, where your love depends on nothing but knowing God. [00:14:28] You think that your day is important when you accomplish this and that, and that's good. [00:14:38] But there's more, because there are the days when you don't accomplish this and that. [00:14:55] And God says to you, well done, good and faithful servant. [00:15:06] I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice to worship you, my precious God. [00:15:19] There is only God. [00:15:25] And when you see yourself resting as you are now, breathing deeply, all the muscles of your body relaxed, belonging to him. [00:15:38] No pain, no doubt, nothing to be afraid of. [00:15:47] No one can hurt you here, no one. [00:15:52] And when you take that reality into the world with you, how your strength will grow. [00:16:04] No one can hurt you here. [00:16:09] You're in your set apart place. You're in your stillness. You're in the secret place of the most high. [00:16:22] Psalms 91. [00:16:25] Come away with me, my beloved. [00:16:30] Come away with me, my beloved, and sit with me in the Holy Spirit's glory, freedom and love. [00:16:40] I'm going to be quiet now, so that you can can drink in his presence alone, without my voice. [00:16:53] And at the end of two minutes I'll come back and we can close together. [00:17:05] I'll be right here with you, going nowhere but here, that it? [00:20:13] Now, I invite you to take another nice deep breath in and out. [00:20:24] I invite you to take these nice deep breaths during your day and at night, you know, before you go to sleep, breathe nice and deeply. And this actually brings a oxygen to the brain, into the entire body and relaxes you rests you. [00:20:48] You are a child of the living God. [00:20:55] You walk by the wisdom of the Spirit of God in Christ Jesus. [00:21:05] And your day is very, very much yours. [00:21:18] And this means, no matter what you are doing, it is yours to give to God. And therefore all that the day contains is a gift to Him. Whether it's washing a dish, sitting down and staring at the wall, driving your car, reading the word, praying, no matter what it is, I could name an entire day's activity. And it all belongs to Him. So be good to yourself today. [00:22:08] Bless your day, be free and remember the peace that these moments held for you. [00:22:22] Go there, go here to your quiet prayer chapel and bring these moments into the day where you are one with God. [00:22:45] And so, beloved, may the Lord bless you and keep you. [00:22:52] May the Lord protect you and make his beautiful face to shine upon you, hold you tight in his love and in his arms, and give you the peace that passes all understanding. [00:23:09] Until next time.
